Paris Grey Vanity/Desk

Megan decided to tackle a second vanity and the result is absolutely gorgeous!

This one had been hiding out in the garage since last fall. I picked it up at a barn sale. And it even has a matching dresser that you will see soon.

Except for a few veneer issues, it was in great shape.

Originally a vanity, it had the holes on the top to attach a mirror. But Megan decided it would make the perfect desk.

After a little repair work with wood filler and a light sanding, she gave the body of the desk two coats of Paris Grey chalk paint and the drawers got two coats of Old White. I know they say you don't have to sand before using the chalk paint, but we think it's a good idea to at least go over your piece lightly with a sanding sponge.

After painting, Megan distressed lightly and went over the whole piece with clear wax.

The details on this piece are just lovely!

And we're in love with this color combination!

Don't you just love anything on cute little wheels?

Megan says this is her favorite project so far. She might not be able to part with this one.

She's on the lookout for the perfect little chair. And she already has her eye on some pretty fabric in grey, white and yellow.

Their new apartment will have an office space. Liam has a big chunky boy desk. Megan just might need a pretty girly desk. Hmmm, I'll let you know what happens.
