This is not even my own personal style. I tend to like pieces that are a little more casual. But she's just one, big beautiful piece of furniture! Except for some wear on the top, she was in perfect condition. If you're a furniture purist, perhaps you should just avert your eyes now, because yes, there was paint involved!
I absolutely love the color, but I have no idea what it's called or how it made it's way into my garage. I found it on the shelf with all the other paint. It's Behr color match with the formula on the lid. I am positive that I did not buy it and no one in my family seems to know how it got there. Only a very small amount had been used out of the can, so I decided to give it a try. It's a gray with a good amount of brown, something along the lines of greige. And it's just a really cool color!
I found this piece at my local Goodwill and I was immediately drawn to the curves.
I loved the original hardware and just gave it a coat of old white chalk paint for a nice contrast. I love the way chalk paint adheres to hardware and really brings out the details. It gives a nice aged look and makes painting hardware a breeze!
