Pottery Barn Inspiration

Don't you love this sweet Easter tablescape from Pottery Barn?

The pretty pink blossoms inspired the mantel design for our tag sale.

We loved the yellow version too.

It inspired our kitchen table design. But we kept it simple to let the beautiful table take center stage. Can you believe that Susan found this table in an alley waiting for the trash pick-up? She had to call a friend to come help her get it in her car. A lovely lady bought the table, the hutch in the background and a sage green table runner. She wanted the ironstone pitcher too, but that was from Megan's wedding and not for sale. Just goes to show how much of an impact a little staging can make.

The Pottery Barn Happy Easter eggs are super cute too. And Susan came up with her own version for a fraction of the cost.

She started with two bags of paper mache eggs from Michaels.

And gave them a coat of creamy acrylic paint.

Transfer letters were used to spell out Happy Easter.

And after a quick spray of black metal paint, screw eyes were attached to the eggs.

A bit of glaze gave them a nice aged look. And jute was attached for hanging.

We thought they looked pretty cute just sitting in an egg carton!

Great job Susan!

And thanks to Pottery Barn for the inspiration!
