What's your plan?

Can you guess what's behind door #1?

Just a clean and empty garage!

The perfect spot for a car! ... Imagine that!

If you've been following along, you know that the garage and driveway are where I work. I paint furniture, a good bit of furniture. So first of all, I need lots of storage space. And since it's harder to find furniture over the winter, I've been stocking up.

And like it or not, ( I love snow!) winter is coming. Here in Maryland, we got record amounts of the fluffy stuff last year. So, I promised my husband that the cars would be back in the garage before the first flake falls. I've been working hard to reorganize and utilize every inch of available space in our house. But seriously, you can't just stuff a dresser in the closet or under the bed!
And then of course, there is the problem of painting in colder temperatures. I really like to paint outside in the fresh air. But I'm going to try to work on some smaller projects in the basement over the winter. Not sure how that will work.

Based on your comments over the last few months, I know I'm not alone here. I know there are other garages out there filled with furniture projects instead of cars. We can't just stop for the winter. So I'm just asking, what's your plan? Have you been stocking up for winter? Have you taken over your garage too? How do you deal with storage? Where will you be painting over the winter?

For me, it's all a work in progress. I'll keep you posted on how it's going. But I'd love to hear your thoughts!
This weekend is going to be unseasonably warm. I can't wait! If anyone is looking for me, I'll be in the garage!

And in the interest of full disclosure, one car is still in the driveway!
