This combination headboard and footboard started out with a traditional brown maple finish. I picked them up at a yard sale. In my excitement to get started, I forgot to take a before picture, but I'm sure you know exactly what I mean.
I wanted to do a really simple classic look in a creamy white finish with no glazing
and just a bit of distressing. I think this duo has a great timeless look.
I did use a final coat of wax for a really smooth finish.
Sometimes the simple finishes turn out to be the very best!
